What is Covid-19?

COVID-19, a type of coronavirus, has had a profound impact on the world since its outbreak in 2019, leading to a pandemic that infected millions of people and disrupted many lives. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is primarily transmitted through close contact with an infected individual as well as by touching surfaces contaminated with the virus.

Common Covid-19 symptoms include:

  • Cough
  • Fever or chills
  • Fatigue
  • Body aches and pains
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Diarrhea

COVID-19 can also be carried by individuals who do not show any symptoms, making it important to receive vaccination and regular booster shots as well as completing testing after exposure to someone who has tested positive for the virus.
