GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS), the parent organization of Northeast Georgia Physicians Group, is one of “Metro Atlanta’s Top 100 Workplaces” for a third consecutive year according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC). NGHS is also one of only 20 large companies (more than 500 employees) to make the list.
The recognition is based on direct feedback from NGHS employees. Some direct quotes from the Workplace Dynamics survey collected from NGHS employees include:
- “(NGHS) is always seeking to improve itself in every area. They are always looking for new and different ways to be on the cutting edge of medicine. They look for new and innovative ways to improve the quality of care that we give our patients.”
- “Customer service is of the highest standard, and, as employees, we strive to treat our patients the same way each and every one of us would want to be treated ourselves.”
- “The senior management team strives to stay on top of market trends.”
- “I enjoy my job and the people I work with. I am very grateful and blessed to have this job.”
“Comments like these validate our dedication to appreciating and respecting our employees – the people who touch patients’ lives every day – while also expanding our services to help those in need,” says Carol Burrell, President and CEO of NGHS. “After all, Northeast Georgia Medical Center would not be one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals® and one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® without having the best team in the nation.”
More than 1,200 companies were nominated or asked to participate in the 2013 contest conducted by the AJC and its partner, Workplace Dynamics. Workplace Dynamics then surveyed more than 49,000 employees from finalist companies. Each company was graded using employees’ responses to several questions about factors such as work conditions, management, pay, benefits and career paths.
