Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) Inpatient Medicine is composed of board certified internal medicine physicians who specialize in caring for patients during their stay in the hospital. From admission to discharge, our physicians work as a team to help manage and coordinate each patient’s care in a compassionate and professional manner.
Being on-site in the hospital and readily available 24-hours a day, seven days a week helps our physicians to personally and efficiently meet the needs of hospitalized patients. We work to ensure continuity of care from the patient’s hospital admission through discharge.
Upon discharge, patients treated by NGPG Inpatient Medicine physicians are referred back to their primary care provider (PCP) or other referring physician for follow-up care. PCPs and other referring physicians will receive detailed information about their patient’s treatment in the hospital, as well as medications they were prescribed at discharge.
This clinic is recognized for excellence by the NCQA.
