Dr. Getachew Iyasu is a provider with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group specializing in Hospital Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Addis Ababa University and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Atlanta Medical Center.
Dr. Iyasu is a dependable physician – always there for patients and staff. He doesn’t work easy shifts, but always completes them with a smile, and even takes on extra work when needed. He works well and is patient in teaching resident physicians. In stressful and unexpected situations Dr. Iyasu comes through – like when pipes burst during the holidays and patients had to be moved. He jumped into quick action and kept every patient safe. He’s a true example for all of those around him.
Samantha Wilson, PA

Samantha Wilson is a board-certified physicians assistant with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group specializing in Family Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of North Georgia and her Master of Medical Science form Mercer University.
Samantha goes above and beyond for her patients and coworkers. She’s always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter what is needed. When patients leave their appointment with her, they always feel empowered, motivated and ready to put into place any changes she discussed. She always has a smile on her face and is dedicated to her work. Even on her days off she answers questions and is available as needed. And in her spare time, she somehow finds a way to bake goodies and bring them in to staff.

Sylbia always has a positive attitude at work. She volunteers to help out, even when it’s not asked of her. She’s professional and knowledgeable when it comes to her job, and is empathetic and compassionate toward patients. She always takes her time with patients, making sure they’re not in pain while getting an x-ray and makes sure to answer all of their questions. She helps her coworkers by doing other tasks when she isn’t busy and never complains about it. She is who all of her coworkers strive to be.
