Prostate cancer patients in northeast Georgia can trust their radiation therapy will come with minimal side effects when treated through Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG), as Jack Griffeth, MD, a radiation oncologist with NGPG, was recently given a SpaceOAR Hydrogel Center of Excellence designation.

SpaceOAR Hydrogel is designed to minimize side effects and improve the quality of life for men undergoing radiation therapy for prostate cancer. The gel acts as a protective spacer between the prostate and rectum, reducing radiation exposure to the rectum and other surrounding organs.

“I am deeply honored to receive this designation,” Dr. Griffeth said. “We have such a great care team. This recognition reinforces our collective commitment to delivering the highest standard of care to prostate cancer patients by providing safer and more effective treatments while prioritizing their well-being.”
