Ariauna Washington, AT

Employee of the Month

Ariauna Washington is an athletic trainer with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group at Gainesville High School.

Last month, Ariauna responded to a baseball player who had been injured at practice. Upon arrival to the scene, the athlete was unresponsive and did not have a pulse.  Ariauna immediately initiated the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and began CPR. She also has the coach contact the school resource officer to get emergency medical services on scene.  After several rounds of CPR, they were able to get a pulse and the athlete was transported to the to NGMC Gainesville. Ariauna’s swift response and initiation of the EAP allowed the athlete the opportunity for advanced care with our medical team.  She has shown outstanding bravery and worked through a very difficult situation.
